Description

DC Army National Guard Occupational Health (OH) seeks contracted services for a qualified mobile OH unit with an affiliated fixed facility to conduct job-related medical surveillance screening examinations and OH services for employees who have the potential to become exposed to health hazards in the work environment.



In accordance with (IAW) the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Title 29 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) ยง 1910, Army Regulation (AR) 40-501, National Guard Regulation (NGR) 40-5, AR 40-5, and Department of Defense Instruction (DoDI) 6055.05-M, employees must be monitored for the impacts of workplace exposures. The medical surveillance program is a

risk-based medical screening and examination process intended to improve combat readiness through early recognition and prevention of occupational exposure by identifying workplace hazards and directing measures to prevent associated illnesses and injuries. Program requirements vary based on job code, work performed, and worksite exposures identified by industrial hygiene (IH) surveys.
