Sealed bids will be received by the City of Manhattan, Kansas, at the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, 1101 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan, Kansas, until 3:30 P.M., on July 30, 2026, at which time the bids will be opened and read aloud. Bids received after said time will be returned to the bidder unopened. These bids will be for the furnishing of all labor and materials, and performing all the Work in accordance with the drawings and specifications for:

2025 Water Treatment Plant Capital Improvements

Part B: 40’x40’x14’ PEMB

&

Part C: Overhead Door Opening

PROJECT No. WA2504

The project will include but is not limited to the following major categories of work:

Part B includes the new construction of a 40’x40’x14’ Pre-Engineered Metal Building and the associated site improvements. Part C includes a new 8’ wide x 12’-8” tall masonry opening for access to the existing high service pump room. Both projects (Part B and Part C) are located at the City of Manhattan Water Treatment Plant, 1201 N. 3rd Street, Manhattan, KS.

TIME LIMIT:

Substantial Completion: The project shall be substantially complete within 210 calendar days. Final Completion: The project shall be completed and ready for final payment within 240 calendar days.

A NON-MANDATORY PRE-BID meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 15th at 11:00 AM in the City Commission Room, City Hall for the City of Manhattan, 1101 Poyntz, Manhattan, KS.

Copies of the City of Manhattan Design Criteria and Standard Specifications and other Contract Documents are on file and available for public inspection at the Public Utilities Department, 1101 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan, Kansas, 66502.
