Project Description: The scope of work consists of the reconstruction of the existing T-intersection at Kawaihae Road and Kohala Mountain Road into a roundabout. The project includes replacing the Waiaka Bridge, reconstruction of AC pavement; removing existing pavement, guardrails, fences and trees; constructing curbs, Portland cement concrete truck apron; installing guardrails, signs, and pavement markings; adjusting and relocating utilities; cold planning; erosion control; and traffic control.
