Q2. Several spots like at the corners of the trim are rotted. Do we include replacement in our pricing?
A2. Yes. Please include an additional line item at the bottom of the Cost Proposal Worksheet included as Exhibit C of the invitation to bid packet.
Q3. Do we have to always have a superintendent on site during work by the prime contractor and/or subcontractors?
A3. No.
Q4. Will the people living here temporarily relocate during work, or will we have to work around them? What are the logistics – work around them or will they move out, and if so, when and for how long?
A4. The homeowners/residents will remain in the home during work. When work involves more significant disruption or disturbance such as the ceiling work, then the homeowners/residents may choose to stay at another location. There is no funding for owner/resident relocation, and they are not required to relocate during the work. Both the contractor and the homeowners/residents will participate in the pre-construction meeting at which the schedule, nature of the work to be completed, etc. will be discussed.
Q5. Front porch decking does not appear to be real deck boards. Do we need to include replacement to meet code in our price proposal?
A5. Yes. Please include an additional line item at the bottom of the Cost Proposal Worksheet included as Exhibit C of the invitation to bid packet.
