Request for Proposals For Replacement of the Miramonte, Fruen and Courthouse Buildings Door Locking Sysyems
Project Description
Location: 305 W. Colorado Ave, 333 W. Colorado Ave & 335 W. Colorado Ave, Telluride CO 81430
Number of Door Locks: 14
The San Miguel County Parks & Open Space department is seeking qualified bidders to replace the security door locks at the Miramonte Building, 333 W. Colorado Ave, The Fruen Building at 335 W. Colorado Ave & San Miguel County Courthouse at 305 W. Colorado Ave, Telluride, CO 81435. The three buildings are adjacent to each other. The project will include all preparations, procurement, installation, and clean up necessary to update the lock systems at both buildings.
The current lock systems are Trilogy DL2800 & DL2800 ETDL. The current system is battery operated and does NOT have internet/power wires run to the doors. The current doors are a mix of emergency bar and handle lock mechanisms. There are 6 locks needed for the Miramonte building, 3 locks needed for the Fruen Building and 5 locks needed for the courthouse. The contractor must also provide all labor and materials necessary to complete the job. Installation must be completed by May 30, 2025.
We are seeking replacement locks that can be remotely managed by key staff. During emergency closures and holidays, we need the capability to log into a server remotely to lock/unlock, and change door schedules. The locks will need to provide each employee a unique access code. The locks will need to be secure enough to protect a government building with sensitive documents. It will need the capability to record timestamps for each occurrence a user code is used. Other county buildings have had success with the Openpath Security System and if possible, we would like to install that system or something similar. The locks that are exposed to the elements will need a protective keypad cover (7 Locks will need this).
The Miramonte and Courthouse buildings are utilized by both San Miguel County Staff and are accessible to the public during operating hours. The courthouse is a historic building so it is necessary to keep the modifications to this building to a minimum.
