Description:

The City of Portland, Texas (“City”) hereby issues this Request for Bid (“RFB”). The City is seeking Bids from firms interested and qualified to provide a 200kW Diesel Generator for use as an emergency backup generator. The objective of the RFB is to identify and award a PO (purchase order) to the lowest responsible Bidder who can provide a diesel generator that meets or exceeds the desired specifications listed in the Scope of Work.

The Bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing the title “SEALED BID – RFB 5407 FOR EMERGENCY BACKUP GENERATOR” as well as Bidder’s name, address, and contact information. The deadline for submission of Bids is February 20, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. CT (Central Time).  Bids must be received before the date and time specified in the RFB. Without exception, Bids received after this deadline will be deemed late, non-responsive and will not be considered.

Note: Any prospective bidder whose name appears on the Excluded Parties List System (EPLS) is not eligible to present a bid, pursuant to Federal grant guidelines funding this project.

The City reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any non-material irregularities or informalities in any RFB, and to accept or reject any item or combination of items.
