A2. Bollard locations and plant placement shall be field adjusted within the landscape areas during construction, as necessary. Final
bollard locations shall be coordinated with the Engineer and County prior to installation.
Q3. Are we to sift the organics from the dredging material so it can be used as fill material?
A3. Sifting of material is not required. Per TS-7.8 Earthwork and the Marine Plans the Contractor shall retain clean, coarse grain
sand, excavated during Work for use as backfill where structural fill is not required. The material shall be free of dirt, clay balls,
muck, roots, and organic matter and contain less than 15 percent by weight passing no. 200 sieve. Contractor shall remove
material containing excessive silts or organic matter from the site and properly disposed of. Contractor may choose to sift material
but must meet the above requirements.

4. Anticipated Start Date
5. Substantial Completion
A4. 1. Charlotte County does not issue a 'Notice of Intent to Award'. A tabsheet will be posted on our website after all submittals
have been reviewed and a recommendation has been made. The tabsheet will be posted within 30 calendar days of the bid
opening.
2. This project must be approved by the Board of County Commissioners. It's anticipated that this will be during their October
20, 2026 meeting, but this is not guaranteed.
3. It's anticipated that the project will begin January 2027. However, this will be discussed and a start date established at the
pre-construction meeting, which will be scheduled after approval by the Board of County Commissioners. (See answer 2)
4. A Notice to Proceed will be issued after the pre-construction meeting, at which a start date will be decided. (See answer 3)

5. As stated in the Request for Bid document and on the Bid Form, the project shall be completed within 160 calendar days of
the date specified in the Notice to Proceed. (See answer 4)

A5. It's anticipated that the project will begin January 2027. However, this will be discussed and a start date established at the pre-
construction meeting.

A6. Per TS-03 Mobilization, C Work Area, 2 Security the park shall be closed for the duration of the project.
Q7. Confirm bridge contractor will be out by January.
A7. The County anticipates the bridge contractor demobilizing from the park by January.
Q8. Please list permits that contractor will have to pay fees for. What is the total amount of these fees. Confirm contractors
will apply but owner will pay building permit fees including but not limited for marine scope (dock, ramp, seawall).
A8. Charlotte County has obtained a Commercial Dock permit, Permit # 20260515124, and a Commercial Miscellaneous permit,
Permit # 20260412952, at the direction of Community Development, Building and Construction Services. The fees for these
permits have been paid by the Charlotte County Facilities Department. The Contractor will be required to apply for and obtain
permit(s) for the restroom structure. The permit Fee schedule is included in the Bid package.
Q9. Confirm dredge material can be used for backfill.
A9. Per TS-7.8 Earthwork and the Marine Plans the Contractor shall retain clean, coarse grain sand, excavated during Work for use
as backfill where structural fill is not required. The material shall be free of dirt, clay balls, muck, roots, and organic matter and
contain less than 15 percent by weight passing no. 200 sieve. The Contractor shall remove material containing excessive silts
or organic matter from the site and properly disposed of.
Q10. Confirm no pile testing is required for this project.
A10. The AWPA or the quality mark of an equivalent inspection organization on each pile will be accepted, in lieu of inspection reports,
as evidence of compliance with applicable AWPA treatment standards. Load capacity testing is not required by these
specifications, however the County reserves the right to test piles, at Contractor's costs, if installation methods cause reason to
believe piles shall not perform as intended.
Q11. Please clarify addendum 2 question Q3 as follows: Confirm no drilling of rock and pile and seawall panel pre-forming
should be included in the bid.
A11. No rock drilling or punching for piles or seawall panels is anticipated. Associated costs should not be included in bid.
Q12. I see that the ramp needs compaction tests. Which it should reach with enough 57 stone. Will the compaction test be
checked underwater?
A12. Compaction testing will not be performed below the waterline however the County shall conduct multiple visual inspections
during the boat ramp construction process to verify preparation of the subgrade is in accordance with the Contract Documents.
A minimum of four (4) compaction tests shall be performed for cast-in-place slabs (2) and sidewalks (2). Locations to be directed
by Engineer.
Q13. That being said I assume there is not a dewatering plan because we are expected not to dewater the job. Is that correct?
If that is the case will the job happen in the wintertime where we can plan around the coldest days and the lowest
tides? Dewatering is very expensive and will make the bids swing by $100,000- $200,000 for those who do and do not.
What is the county expecting us to bid. Dewater or not Dewater?
A13. The County shall not dictate the means and methods of how each contractor performs the work. The design does not require
dewatering but it does not preclude it. Tentative start date is January 2027.
This addendum is binding and is to be considered as if contained within the original bid documents of Bid No. 20260604. Bidders are
required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum on their bid forms.
