Replacement of Make-Up Air Unit- Lacombe Memorial Centre

The purpose of this project is to proactively replace the MUA Unit prior to a complete system failure. Taking this preventative approach will significantly reduce facility downtime and minimize disruptions to building operations. Additionally, this replacement will help maintain the building at a high operational and performance standard, ensuring continued reliability and efficiency. Due to the public nature of our building, we need to limit downtime to minimize impact on bookings.

Remove and dispose of the existing MUA Unit
Supply new unit to site including crane supply
Disconnect and reconnect the electrical and gas
Supply and install new controls that connect with the current hood fans
Provide air balance to the new MUA Unit

Gas/Electrical permit
Proof of WCB clearance
Proof of insurance
COR Certification

Submissions must be received before the Closing Date and Time noted on the front cover of the RFP document. An electronic copy of the Proposal must be submitted in PDF format by email to the City's Contact identified in this posting and on the cover of the RFP document. Zip files are unacceptable and will be rejected by the City's firewall.
Email submissions must not exceed 150MB or they will be rejected by the City's mail server.

This meeting will be held at the Lacombe Memorial Centre, on August 12, 2026, at 10:00 AM. A sign in sheet will be available, and only Proponents who have documented representation at the meeting will be considered for this RFP.
