Synopsis:

SaskEnergy Incorporated, headquartered in Regina, Saskatchewan, is Saskatchewan's natural gas distribution company, a provincial Crown corporation with roots in Saskatchewan dating back more than half a century. SaskEnergy delivers the benefits of safe, convenient and environmentally friendly natural gas to more than 408,000 residential, farm, commercial and industrial customers throughout Saskatchewan.

TransGas Limited (TransGas), a subsidiary of SaskEnergy, headquartered in Regina, Saskatchewan and its natural gas transmission system covers almost two thirds of the province with a network of more than 14,000 kilometers of high-pressure natural gas pipelines. References to “SaskEnergy”, for the purposes of this RFSQ and its related documents, means TransGas Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of SaskEnergy Incorporated.

TransGas is seeking to establish a list of qualified oilfield drilling management firms for drilling programs TransGas may choose to pursue. This service will be on an as required basis. Interested respondents are invited to submit a response to this pre-qualification. Responses will be evaluated and those that are successful will be placed on a bid list for upcoming applicable Request for Proposals (RFPs).

Additional Information:

To be considered for this RFSQ or potential competition as a result, proponents must indicate they can meet the following mandatories, by completing appropriate sections in Attachment 1 – Summary form. Any responses left blank will be assumed as do not comply and the submission may not be considered.

  • Successful proponent (company that is awarded a contract) must self-perform the work
  • 10 or more years’ experience in oil and gas in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin.
  • Have recent, (as deemed by SaskEnergy/TransGas), turn-key projects where the respondent has drilled to and recovered core from oil and gas wells. Reference contact information.
  • TransGas, in its sole discretion, may reject the submission if the proponent, or any member of the proponent, is currently engaged in a dispute with SaskEnergy/TransGas involving mediation, arbitration or litigation.
