80-kW Diesel Three-Phase Generator and Automatic Transfer Switch

Lee Richardson Zoo, a department of the City of Garden City, Garden City, Kansas, is seeking bids from a qualified firm, individual, or team to install an 80-kW diesel three-phase generator and Automatic Transfer Switch. Sealed bids are to be received by 4:00 PM, CDT, Friday, August 8, 2025, at the Finnup Center for Conservation Education, 312 Finnup Drive, Garden City, KS 67846. The work consists of: installing the generator and ATS and making sure they both work (bringing the primary source to the generator and ATS, installing outdoor electrical stand for mounting equipment such as ATS, service panel, and main disconnect). Bid sheets and specifications are available online at the City of Garden City website at www.garden-city.org. Time of delivery of service is a part of the consideration and must be stated.

Bids shall be made on printed forms which may be obtained from Lee Richardson Zoo or the website listed above. No bidder may withdraw their bid for at least sixty (60) days after the scheduled time for the receipt of bids. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and to accept the bid deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
