Digital Skills Programming

This Request for Proposal (RFP) is for the purpose of establishing contracts with qualified entities to enhance digital equity related programs and digital skills proficiency among underserved Lake County Residents. This RFP aims to attract innovative and experienced partners who can contribute to the advancement of digital literacy and skills development initiatives, ultimately empowering Lake County Residents and communities to thrive in the digital age. Proposer’s selected will be paid using American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) federal funds allocated to carry out strategies outlined in the Lake County Broadband and Digital Equity Plan.

i. Lake County is committed to closing the digital divide through actionable strategies and projects to increase local coordination, expand high-speed broadband infrastructure, remove barriers to internet access, improve device and subscription affordability, promote digital literacy, and realize the County’s vision for digital equity and inclusion.

ii. Digital Skills and digital literacy program licensure, curriculum, and related materials are intended to empower Lake County residents with the knowledge and confidence to navigate technology and educational resources as outlined in the Lake County Broadband and Digital Equity Plan
