New Buses for Student Transport

Lewisville Independent School District ("LISD", "District") is a Texas public school district located in the Dallas/Fort Worth metropolitan area, encompasses approximately 127 square miles, and has approximately 48,000 students and 6,400 staff members.
Lewisville ISD is seeking quotes from suppliers awarded on Lewisville ISD-eligible cooperative contracts for 40 buses to be used by the Lewisville ISD Transportation Department, to replace existing buses. Your company must already be awarded on an LISD-eligible cooperative contract in order to be eligible to respond to this bid. A list of LISD-eligible cooperative contracts can be found in the attachments tab. Quotes must comply with Texas educational procurement law requirements. It is the intent of Lewisville ISD to standardize to existing buses owned by the District to assist in maintenance, minor repairs, and minimizing the number of parts to be purchased/stocked.

The specifications to match the original buses purchased by Lewisville ISD are found as attachments under the "Attachments" tab. These are to be considered minimum specifications for the buses to be purchased, as equivalent or better, and are not all-inclusive of LISD requirements. Listed specifications contained in the attachments will govern over a conflict with any specification in the related RFP Line item. Additional specifications are listed in the RFP Line items. Quotes provided must indicate any failure to meet the specifications in whole. Failure to list exceptions, if any, to detailed specifications in the attachments and Attributes indicates that Supplier meets or exceeds the requirements.

As with the original buses, these buses are to be used for student transportation including home to school and school to home routes, special education transportation, campus shuttle, as well as extra-curricular transportation for campuses and departments. This request for quotes is for the suppliers to provide the best service of coordination, timeliness delivery, warranty, and properly functioning safe buses for the transportation of students.
Delivery by awarded supplier is to be made as indicated by the Procurement Department. Vehicles shall be delivered to the LISD Transportation bus lot. Although Transportation is currently located at 900 E. Mill St. Lewisville TX. 75057, a new location is under construction and delivery by need to be rerouted. The new location is anticipated to open Spring 2026. Delivery is to be coordinated with LISD Procurement. Upon Board of Trustees approval, a purchase order will be issued and delivery of buses may begin upon completion of aftermarket equipment with completion not later than by June 12, 2026.
