Housing Management Software System - Request for Information (24/25-065MC)
Description:

This Request for Information (RFI) is issued by the State University of New York at Stony Brook to collect detailed information on available housing management software solutions. The purpose of this RFI is to explore existing software systems that can effectively manage various aspects of residential life. These systems should support a comprehensive range of functions, including but not limited to, room assignments, billing, maintenance requests, and student self-service options.

Stony Brook University aims to identify software solutions that are highly customizable, secure, and capable of integrating seamlessly with other campus systems, such as Student Information Systems (SIS), Learning Management Systems (LMS), and Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions. Additionally, the information about the software availability should incorporate the data security and privacy regulations, including FERPA and GDPR, and offer robust support for managing off-campus housing and complex bed count configurations.

This RFI seeks to gather information that will help SUNY Stony Brook understand the capabilities, features, scalability, and costs associated with potential housing management software systems, enabling the university to make an informed decision in line with its strategic objectives and student needs.

We are particularly interested in understanding how different software solutions can address the specific needs of a large and diverse campus housing environment, including room assignments, billing, maintenance requests, student self-service options, and integration with other campus systems. Additionally, vendors should highlight their experience in delivering similar solutions to institutions with comparable housing capacities and requirements.
