2025 Drainage Improvements

Project Description: SEALED PROPOSALS will be electronically accepted by the Penn Forest Township Board of Supervisors until 3:00 p.m. on Monday July 7, 2025 via PennBid at https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com for the following contracts:
Contract 1: “2025 Road Improvements” on various roads in Penn Forest Township
1,132 SY of 4” Bituminous Repair including g milling and placing 4” of 25.0mm
123 SY of 1 ½” Depth Milling
1,869 Tons of 9.5mm Leveling Course at 90 lb/sy
3,749 Tons of 9.5mm Wearing Course at 1 ½” Depth
1,132 Tons of 2A Aggregate for Shoulder Back-up
16,990 LF of 4” Double Yellow Center Line
33,980 LF of 4” Single White Edge Line
Contract 2: “2025 Drainage Improvements” on Old Stage Road in Penn Forest Township
393 LF of 15” Smooth Bore Thermoplastic Pipe
76 LF of 24” Smooth Bore Thermoplastic Pipe
All materials and workmanship must meet PENNDOT Publication 408 Specifications and Standards.
For the “2025 Road Improvements” project and the “2025 Drainage Improvements” project the Bidders do not need to be PENNDOT prequalified.
PA Prevailing Wages apply to the “2025 Road Improvements” project and the “2025 Drainage Improvements” project.
Proposals must be on forms provided by the Township and available at no cost on PennBid at https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com .
Pre-Bid meetings will be held at 9:00 am on Monday June 30, 2025, for the “2025 Road Improvements” project and at 11:00 am on Monday June 30, 2025, for the “2025 Drainage Improvements” project. These Pre-Bid meetings will be held at the Municipal Office located at 2010 State Route 903, Jim Thorpe, PA 18229 all interested bidders should attend. These are not mandatory meetings however; this is the only field view to be conducted by the Municipality. Questions regarding this project shall be submitted via the “Ask a Question” feature in PennBid by the due date and time specified. After the pre-bid meetings these will be in the form of a written notice to all bidders and posted on PennBid.
All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid made payable to Penn Forest Township.
The successful bidder will be required to provide a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the awarded contract amount within 20 days of the award of the contract.
All bids will be opened publicly at a regular meeting of the Penn Forest Township Board of Supervisors on Monday July 7, 2025, at approximately 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the agenda allows.
The Penn Forest Township Board of Supervisors reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all proposals or portions thereof, and to delete projects and or portions of the project depending on budgetary constraints and also to waive any technicalities deemed to be in the best interested of the Township.
