The proposed procurement does not contain an option to extend the contract period. The total duration shall not exceed 5 years.
This proposed procurement is for National Stock Number (NSN) 3040013874048, CONNECTING LINK, RIGID.
Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items under FAR 13.5 are Applicable.
Solicitation SPE7LX25RX021 will be used to establish an Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC), Firm Fixed Price (FFP) for five years in length.
The Contracting Officer has determined this item will be solicited unrestricted using Other than Full and Open Competition under authority 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1).
The item on this solicitation is coded as AMC/AMSC ā1/Cā, which means this item is suitable for competitive acquisition for the second or subsequent time and that this part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source(s) require acquisition of the part from the approved source(s). The approved source(s) retain data rights, manufacturing knowledge, or technical data that are not economically available to the Government, and the data or knowledge is essential to maintaining the quality of the part. An alternate source must qualify in accordance with the design control activity's procedures, as approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity. The qualification procedures must be approved by the Government engineering activity having jurisdiction over the part in the intended application.
While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery and past performance and subcontracting plans are required for large businesses.
The estimated annual demand quantity is 9339 each (EA). Required delivery is 1000 EA in 90 days at a rate of 2000 EA per month thereafter. Contract Maximum is $7,500,000.00.
