Summary Details
The CRD Growth and Mobility Study will deliver regional-scale geographic information system (GIS) mapping and datasets that synthesizes land use, transportation information, and other key information to support planning analysis. This resource will be made available to all local governments and electoral areas in the CRD to support local planning in having a better view of regional trends and impacts. The focus will be on identifying areas that are appropriate for increasing levels of development in proximity to transit, active transportation and walkable communities.
The study will be based on existing data sources such as municipal Official Community Plans (OCPs), local area plans, transit routes, biking infrastructure, and walkable communities. CRD Regional Planning will lead the study, with technical input from the Regional Housing and Climate Action Program divisions. |
