Description:
The Work comprises, but is not limited to: Installation of a new 12" PVC C900 DR 14 water main and all associated tasks including but not limited to trenching; new fire hydrant installation; new water service lateral installation; removal of interfering portions of existing water main infrastructure; backfill and compaction; flushing, disinfection, and testing; asphalt reconstruction; sidewalk and driveway construction; fence and gate replacement; private property restoration; striping restoration; monument preservation.
*Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting: Prospective bidders are required to attend a pre-bid meeting held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Chino Hills City Hall, Council Chambers, 14000 City Center Drive, Chino Hills, CA 91709. Failure to participate in the pre-bid meeting will render a bidder non-responsive.

Qualifications:
|
|
The Contractor shall possess a valid Class A Contractor's license at the time of submitting bids. The minimum acceptable experience shall include direct responsibility for performing the necessary work. To be qualified, bidders must have the experience, manpower, and equipment necessary and have successfully completed a minimum of five (5) projects of similar-type water main project (with installation of water lines greater than or equal to 3,000 linear feet in length per project), and in addition, bidders must have completed five (5) similar-type street improvements project (minimum of 36,000 square footage of pavement rehabilitation) for government/public agency within the last five (5) years. Combined water and street improvements/ rehab projects can qualify as two separate projects accordingly. Failure to participate in the pre-bid meeting will render a bidder non-responsive.

Special Requirements:
|
|
10% Bid Bond, 100% Performance Bond, 100% Payment Bond. It shall be mandatory, upon the contractor to whom the contract is awarded, and upon any subcontractor under him, to pay not less than the prevailing rate of wages as established by the City Council as they apply to the work being performed. Said prevailing rates are available from the State of California Department of Industrial Relations website (**See link under Description).
