Description: The Chautauqua Region Economic Development Corporation (CREDC) aims to complete pre-development activities for brownfield opportunity area projects at five properties in or adjacent to the Chadakoin River Activation area. This area, within the Secretary of State-designated Chadakoin River Central/Eastern BOA in Jamestown, NY, faces challenges such as limited property information, environmental uncertainties, financing difficulties related to environmental issues, and developer concerns about site suitability. Project activities will include conducting building conditions studies, environmental analyses of sites, infrastructure analyses, developing marketing strategies for each site, and public outreach. These activities will help to alleviate some unknown risks, costs, and potential liabilities associated with brownfield redevelopment for private developers to invest and finance projects within the BOA area. Qualified State-certified MWBEs are encouraged to submit proposals. The total MWBE utilization goals for this project is 30% (15% MBE/15%WBE).
