As-Needed Professional Architectural Support Services

The City of Vista (City) is soliciting proposals in response to this Request For Qualifications (RFQ) from qualified professionals to provide as-needed professional support services for various future Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) and Housing & Homeless (H&H) projects. All proposals received by the due date will be evaluated in accordance with applicable provisions of the Vista Municipal Code (VMC) and the City will select the most qualified firm according to the evaluation criteria described in this RFQ and any subsequent negotiations.

The initial term or period of the contract shall be three years (36-months) from the date of award with the possibility of two (2) optional successive one-year (12-months) renewal periods. This contract may be renewed by the City for two (2) successive one-year periods under the terms and conditions of the original contract except as stated below. Price increases may be negotiated only at the time of renewal. Written notice of the City’s intension to renew shall be given approximately 90 calendar days prior to the expiration date of each contract period.

This contract between City and Consultant for as-needed professional support services will have a ceiling amount of $150,000 for the entire five-year term. This contract is intended to be funded by state and local sources.

Proposals shall be submitted in accordance with the requirements of this RFQ. A separately uploaded electronic Fee Schedule (hourly rate) shall be included with the Proposal, which the City shall only open after first considering and ranking the qualifications presented by each firm.
