Description

The United States Marine Corps (USMC) F&ES, through a policy letter (The United States Marine Corps (USMC) F&ES, through Marine Corps Order 11000.11A, "MARINE CORPS FIRE PROTECTION AND EMERGENCY SERVICES PROGRAM" (16 August 2017) requires Marine Corps fire departments to implement regular inspections, testing, preventative maintenance, repairs, and recertification for all fire apparatus and equipment, including emergency medical services (EMS) equipment such as powered cots, cots fasteners, resuscitation devices, and stair chairs. F&ES fire stations currently utilize Stryker brand EMS equipment (hydraulic cots (Power-Pro ™ series), powered cot fasteners (Power Load ™ series), resuscitation devices (Lucas devices ™), and specialty wheelchairs (Stair-Chairs ™)). The Government owned Stryker equipment must be serviced annually to ensure functionality. This equipment is critical for the agency’s use. This annual preventative maintenance service ensures that this critical equipment remains fully functional and in optimum condition. The overall goal of the services is to keep all Stryker Equipment functional and current on inspection, testing, maintenance, and recertification. Work shall be performed within any or all of the seventeen (17) Fire Stations aboard the various installations. The locations where the work is to be performed shall be coordinated by the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and the Contractor.
