Description
STATEMENT OF WORK
EXTERIOR DOOR PAINITNG FOR PARKING GARAGE DOORS (16) AND LOADING DOCK DOORS (10) JACKSON REGIONAL BUSINESS OFFICE
OBJECTIVE
The Jackson Regional Office of the Veterans Benefits Administration has a requirement to sand, prime, and re-paint (26) exterior doors located in the parking garage entry and exit stairways and loading dock area.
SITE VISIT
Contractors shall visit the site to confirm location, dimensions, and conditions of the existing exterior doors. The site visit shall be for observing firsthand any conditions relevant to the fulfillment of this contract. The site address is: VBA Jackson Regional Office, 1600 E. Woodrow Wilson Ave., Jackson, MS 39216-5102

BACKGROUND
The Jackson Veterans Administration Regional Office (VARO) experienced damage to (26) exterior doors located in the parking garage and loading dock area. The peeling paint and visible rust on the exterior doors are a blemish to the Jackson RO parking garage entry and exit stairway doors and exterior loading dock areas.
A&A requirements do not apply, and a Security Accreditation Package is not required.
SCOPE OF WORK
This scope of work is for re-painting (26) doors at the Jackson VA Regional Office parking garage entry and exit stairway doors and loading dock area doors and is intended to cover all services required by the Regional Office.
The contractor shall,
Acquire all material to sand all doors and prime with rust primer as needed on identified doors with visible rust. Paint all doors white (16) doors in parking garage and (10) doors in the loading dock area.
Apply bondo to identified doors that have rust damage causing surface to be uneven.
Remove and replace (1) Classified Swinging Type Fire door. Fire rating 1 ½ hour (B) to be equipped with fire exit hardware temp rise 30 min. 250-degree Fahrenheit Max. Perform all fabrication, acquisition of parts or material, necessary to change out/replace old parts including door handles, hinges, and hardware as needed.
Leave damaged or malfunctioned parts at the Regional Office campus.
Remove all debris from Regional Office campus and provide all manufacture warranties and catalogs for new door, hardware, and handles if applicable.
PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE
45 days after contract award
REFERENCE
The contractor shall comply with the following references during the entirety of the contract:
1) VA Handbook 6500.6 Contract Security
CONTRACTING OFFICER REPRESENTATIVE (COR)
The Chief, Support Services Division, or designee shall be the Contracting Officer s Representative (COR) for the VA Regional Office. The contractor shall coordinate all work performed with the COR.
DUTY HOURS
Normal business hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. local time, excluding Federal holidays. The contractor s on-site supervisor(s) and ground crew(s) will perform services between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. local time. The VA reserves the right to request changes in work schedules to meet the needs of the Government.
Health and Safety Plan:
The Contractor shall be solely responsible for risk assessments, managing health, and safety issues associated with this project. Based on hazard assessments, the Contractor shall provide or afford each employee personal protection equipment (PPE) that will protect the employee from hazards.
Damages:
The Contractor shall be responsible for all damages to property or injuries to persons as a result of their fault or negligence. The Contracting Officer shall validate and negotiate any claims with the Contractor.
