Project Description: The City of South Jordan is planning to purchase 8 truckloads of specialty 4-in-1 Multi-Purpose Infield Diamond Dust and apply it to one ball field within the City. Diamond Dust performs very well in providing a high-quality compacted subbase material for absorption and subdrainage capture, and exceeds the performance of other infield products. Many other municipalities already use this infield material.
Our research indicates that Diamond Dust from Specialty Mining & Infield Materials in Bliss, Idaho is a sole source product and is not available from any other company; therefore, the City plans to award a contract without competition. The City invites any companies who believe they can provide infield material equal to or above the performance of Diamond Dust from Specialty Mining & Infield Materials to please call or email the Purchasing Coordinator before the closing date of this posting.
