Event Description
The South Dakota Department of Tourism / Travel South Dakota seeks the professional
services of a marketing agency, with strong preference given to an agency with experience in
tourism marketing, to work as a collaborative partner in the development of marketing
campaigns, brand management, creative services, marketing & consumer research, media
purchasing, public relations, event management, print services, and activations to promote The
Mount Rushmore State as a premier travel destination regionally, nationally and globally. The
purpose of this RFP is to identify the most qualified agency (or agencies) to carry out all
aspects of the South Dakota Department of Tourism’s / Travel South Dakota’s marketing

Dakota and to inform a thoughtful and strategic RFP submission, including our Brand
Standards book, 2022-2025 Strategic Plan, past marketing campaigns, monthly travel
indicators dashboard, research & reports, press releases, and more.

The State will to respond to offeror’s inquiries (if required) via email. In addition, all
inquiries and the State’s response will be posted on the state’s e-procurement system.

alter any specification or other term or condition of this RFP. Offerors will be notified in
the same manner as indicated above regarding any modifications to this RFP.
