Request for Qualifications - Professional Engineering Services

The City of Cayce Utilities Division (City) seeks expressions of interest and qualifications for annual professional engineering services associated with water and wastewater infrastructures and facilities based upon the scope of work contained in this Solicitation.

It is the intent of the City to award multiple annual engineering services contracts for a period of three (3) years, with an option to renew on an annual basis.

The City reserves the right to utilize other providers for engineering services and is not obligated to award any or all services to the annual contract provider(s). The City makes no commitment or guarantee as to the value of services to be awarded.

The City of Cayce, South Carolina is a historic community whose land has been inhabited for over 12,000 years. The City of Cayce is located in Lexington County and borders the west bank of the Congaree River across from the state capital, Columbia. Incorporated in 1914, Cayce has grown to 17 square miles and a population of approximately 14,000 per the 2020 US Census. Cayce has a water and sewer service area that extends beyond the City limits into Lexington County and near the Calhoun County border. Cayce Utilities is responsible for approximately 203 miles of gravity sewer main, 79 miles of sewer force main, 222 miles of water main and 78 pump stations within its service area. It is also responsible for the operations of a 25 MGD regional wastewater treatment facility, a 9.6 MGD water treatment facility, and a 100,000 GPD septage and grease facility.
