The APEX Accelerators program was formerly known as the Procurement Technical Assistance Program (opens in new window) (PTAP).
The contractor shall install inside and outside plate telecommunications and Local Area Network (LAN) infrastructure requirements throughout Tinker AFB and designated Geographically Separated Units (GSUs). The contractor shall support base mission changes, major or minor Base Infrastructure and Telecommunications Support (BITS) infrastructure modifications, and other support requirements necessary to meet mission requirements. Support requirements may originate from technology changes, hardware and software systems upgrade, reconfigurations, new or additional equipment, dial central office reconfigurations to include routing and diversity requirements, and any other environmental changes that impacts or alters the BITS requirements. The contractor shall advise technical personnel of upcoming trends for voice, data, LAN, and video solutions and make recommendations for migration to these solutions. The push for convergence of voice, data, LAN, and video shall be considered when recommending new solutions. All efforts shall be directed towards a Unified Convergence Network by identifying deficiencies and shortcomings of the current communication network when evaluated against an adopted IPv6 and VoIP standard IAW the Draft PWS.
