BRENNAN TRAIL EXTENSION AND PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE
The City of Pocatello (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following project:
Brennan Trail Extension and Pedestrian Bridge Project
Sealed Bids for the construction of the Brennan Trail Extension and Pedestrian Bridge will be received at the Pocatello City Hall located at 911 N. 7th Avenue, Pocatello, ID 83201, until 1:00 PM local time on Sept 16, 2026, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
The City of Pocatello has secured funding for this project which consists of constructing a pedestrian bridge across the Portneuf River in Pocatello to connect the Brennan Trail with the existing city trail system to the west. The project scope includes construction of a new multi-use pathway connection and pedestrian bridge crossing of the Portneuf River. Major work items include approximately 540 linear feet of 10-foot-wide asphalt pathway, a 118-foot prefabricated steel truss pedestrian bridge with concrete abutments supported on driven steel H-piles, structural excavation and backfill, riprap and erosion control installation, clearing and grubbing, pathway grading, traffic control, seeding and revegetation, and all related appurtenant work necessary to complete the project.
The City of Pocatello reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive any nonmaterial irregularities in the bids received, and to accept the proposal deemed most advantageous to the best interest of the City of Pocatello. Section 3, minority - and women - owned businesses are especially encouraged to apply, as are businesses located within the City's municipal boundaries. The City of Pocatello offers a preference for documented Section 3 businesses or individuals on this project.
