Invitation to Bid
FY26 Tree Removal
Sealed bids for FY26 Tree Removal, Holyoke, MA will be received on December 18, 2025 at the City of Holyoke Office of Procurement, 536 Dwight Street, Room 3, Holyoke, Massachusetts 01040, Attn: Jaime Morrow, Chief Procurement Officer until 2 PM prevailing time, at which said Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. All bids shall be submitted within a sealed envelope addressed to the “City of Holyoke Office
of Procurement, 536 Dwight Street, Room 3, Holyoke, Massachusetts 01040, Attn: Jaime Morrow, Chief Procurement Officer” and titled “FY26 Tree Removal, Bid #2026-04DPW”.
The work under this contract, including all bid alternates, shall include the removal of approximately 136 trees, pruning, and stump removal of City-owned trees within the right-of-way.
Bidding procedures shall be in accordance with the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 30, Section 39 M as amended. This project may be funded in whole or part with federal funds.
All work shall be completed by May 15, 2026. Beginning at 10 AM on November 19, 2025, all project documents will be distributed and supplied by the
City of Holyoke’s in electronic format only. Submit requests for documents to Jaime Morrow, Chief
Procurement Officer, at morrowj@holyoke.org between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM. Requests shall include firm name and address, contact name and title, email address, and telephone number and fax number. Any questions need to be submitted in writing via email to morrowj@holyoke.org by December 8, 2025 @ 2PM. The answers will be issued via addenda to all bid holders no later than December 12, 2025. The estimated value of this contract, including all bid alternates, is $347,700.00. The bidder Contractor shall also be MassDOT, Highways Division, Prequalified in the class of work “TREE TRIMMING, MAINTENANCE AND REMOVAL”. An award will not be made to a Contractor who is not pre-qualified with the MassDOT Highway Division prior to the opening of proposals. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and/ or waive any informality, if it is deemed to be in the public interest so to do.
