The FBI’s mission is to protect and defend the United States against terrorist and foreign intelligence threats, to uphold and enforce the criminal laws of the United States, and to provide leadership and criminal justice services to federal, state, municipal, and international agencies and partners; and to perform these responsibilities in a manner that is responsive to the needs of the public and is faithful to the Constitution of the United States. The mission of the Radio Engineering Unit (REU) is to provide secure, tactical, interoperable wireless communications in support of FBI and DOJ national security and law enforcement operations. The main effort is the operation and maintenance of the Land Mobile Radio (LMR) system, the largest LMR network in the world. The FBI New York Field Office (NYFO) has identified the need of technical services for the removal of radio equipment at two of its tower locations. Specifically, the vendor shall remove and dispose of (2) existing Cellwave PD-220 antennas. One at 594FT and the second one at 539FT. 7/8" coax to be removed along with existing stand off mounts. Also, the vendor shall remove existing 6FT Gabriel Dish at 556FT and 7/8 inch coax associated with this equipment along with the stand off mount at the Middle Island tower site. In addition, vendor shall remove and dispose of three (3) 8-foot dish antennas and waveguide from 125FT, 194FT, and 224FT and one (1) whip antenna and coax line from 250FT on the Melville/Plainview tower site. Vendor will be responsible for the removal and proper disposal of removed equipment and accessory items. The FBI plans to award a firm fixed price contract to the lowest priced technically accepted vendor for the required tower sites.
RFQ has been extended to allow more time for submissions and onsite visit, applicable.
