Description

Sealed bids for furnishing Distribution Transformers will be received by the City of Laurinburg, North Carolina, at the City of Laurinburg’s Council Chambers (Room #221) located at 303 West Church Street, Laurinburg, NC 28352 at 2:00 p.m. local time on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at which time and place the bids will be publicly opened and read. Proposals shall be addressed to the City of Laurinburg, 303 West Church St., (PO Box 249), Laurinburg, North Carolina 28353, Attention: Mr. Harold Haywood. The Contract Documents may be examined at the following locations: City of Laurinburg, Office of Electrical Director        Laurinburg, North Carolina Progressive Engineering Consultants, Inc.        Charlotte, North Carolina Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained by contacting the office of Progressive Engineering Consultants, Inc., P.O. Box 690638, Charlotte, North Carolina, 28227, Telephone No. (704) 545-7327. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a separate one hundred (100) percent Performance Bond on the forms included as part of the Contract Documents. The Performance Bond shall be in full force and effect for one (1) year after the date of final acceptance of the project by the City of Laurinburg. Contract and Performance Bonds are not to be completed at the time of this proposal and are included in order to advise the Bidder as to form. The City of Laurinburg invites and encourages participation in this bidding process by minority business enterprises. The City of Laurinburg reserves the right to reject any or all bid proposals and to accept any combination of proposals which are deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
