The Forest Operations Branch (FOB) is procuring third-party audit services to support the Forest Operations Monitoring Program (FOMP). External audit services from an accredited body are required to ensure FOMP is adhering to its Quality Management System, guided by the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Standard.
The FOMP is the provincial monitoring system for timber operations, including but not limited to harvesting activities, road construction, road reclamation, watercourse crossings, silviculture surveys, and debris disposal. Data from the program is used in annual reports and the province’s forestry statistics.
The FOMP is administered by the Forest Operations Branch office located in Edmonton, and delivered by 10 forest area offices.
