Subject: Badger Meter Products and Services

Clay County Utility Authority intends to award a procurement as a Sole Source Procurement in accordance with its Procurement Policy 7.7, and State of Florida Statute 287.057 (3) (c). Any responses received in reference to this Notice of Intent to Sole Source shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether a competitive procurement. Responses will not be considered as proposals, bids, or quotes.

CCUA intends to negotiate and award a sole-source procurement for Badger Meters Products and Services. Badger Meter, Inc. is the original equipment manufacturer and proprietary technology provider of its water metering products, advanced metering infrastructure (AMI), cellular communication endpoints, and associated software platforms. As the sole-source provider of its specified water utility products and related services within CCUA’s geographic service area, Badger Meter is uniquely positioned to ensure compatibility with CCUA’s existing infrastructure, continuity of operations, and access to manufacturer-authorized products and technical support. Accordingly, CCUA seeks to designate Badger Meter as a sole-source provider based on its proprietary technology, exclusive distribution rights, and the operational necessity of maintaining system compatibility and reliability.
