Sarasota County 40' High-Cubed Shipping Container Purchase

A. Sarasota County is requesting quotes from Bidders to provide quotes to purchase one (1) 40FT long high-cubed shipping container.

i. The bidder shall ensure the following criteria:

a. The high-cubed shipping container dimensions will be (40'L X 8'W X 9.6"H).

b. The containers will be a One-Tripper with a Category A rating.

c. The containers will be wind-and water-tight and comprised of corrugated steel panels throughout.

d. The container will have lockable double doors on one end and be equipped with marine-grade plywood flooring in the interior.

e. Color of the shipping container shall be beige, tan, or khaki.

f. County reserves the right to inspect all containers prior to shipping and at delivery.

B. The bidder must upload photos of the top, bottom, each exterior side, and interior (inclusive of floor, ceiling, and walls) of each container included in this bid.

C. Delivery Responsibilities:

a. F.O.B. Destination: Title passes when delivery is received by the County at the delivery location. The successful bidder will be responsible for the total cost of shipping and the risk of loss until the shipment is delivered.

b. Sarasota County will be responsible for unloading the containers at the receiving site: 8781 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota FL 34241.

c. Bid to define the shipping/delivery costs separately from the product unit cost.

The award will be made to the responsive and responsible bidder providing the lowest total bid price.

DO NOT submit a quote of more than $50,000. In the event no responsive and responsible quotes are received under the quote threshold, the County may elect to cancel this Quick Quote and re-solicit using another procurement method.
