Title: B026-28 Facilities Parking Lot Rehabilitation
Addenda: 0
Release Date: 9/10/2025
Due Date: 10/2/2025
The project will consist of rehabilitating various municipal parking lots in the City of Meriden. Work will include, but not limited to, milling or removal of existing pavement, replacing base bituminous pavement layer and/or overlaying of Class 2 bituminous pavement surface course, installing concrete pavement, removing and replacing bituminous curbing and painted pavement markings. It is anticipated that the project will commence in October of 2025. The City may remove or add parking lots to the proposed parking lot list as the project progresses and will coordinate with the Contractor during the project. The work performed on any additional parking lots added by the City will be performed at the Unit Prices submitted on the Bid Form. Refer to project list titled “City of Meriden Municipal Parking Lot Rehabilitation List 2025“ and to plans included with this bid package for approximate limits of work.
The intent of this project is to have this work performed and completed in its entirety as quickly as possible to limit the disruption to critical facilities such as Fire Stations. The selected contractor will prepare a construction schedule and present it at the pre-construction meeting. The Contractor will coordinate with the Engineer and/or Public Works Director, and the Facility Operator for work being performed at each facility.
The application of permanent pavement markings should occur within approximately 3 weeks after completing the paving operations.
No section of parking lot shall be left in a milled condition longer than 2 weeks before final Bituminous Concrete (HMA) is placed.
