RFB 2026.05 – Removal of Beach Sandbags
The City of Isle of Palms is seeking bids from qualified contractors for the removal of sandbags installed on the beach as erosion control. The city is renourishing the beach and must remove the bags as a condition of the permit. There are approximately 4,000 sandbags, measuring one cubic yard each, installed in three different areas. The contractor will need to excavate the bags, cut the bags open to leave the sand on the beach, dispose of all materials, coordinate inspections, and regrade the area.
