Lac La Biche County
The County of Lac La Biche envisions the proposed walkway as more than a functional transportation corridor. It is intended to become a defining public space and landmark feature that reflects the County’s identity, enhances community pride, and creates a memorable experience for residents and visitors. The design should seamlessly integrate movement, community, and visual impact, transforming a simple walkway into a destination.
This assignment is intended to identify, evaluate, and recommend conceptual design options that incorporate architecturally enhanced features supporting placemaking and community identity. The successful Proponent will present the design alternatives and evaluation findings to the County to support the selection of a preferred option. Once selected, the preferred option will be refined to a more detailed conceptual design level. Detailed engineering design is outside the scope of this phase and may be commissioned separately to the successful Proponent.
