NOTICE TO BIDDERS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Quotes will be received for the Contract CANINE AND FELINE PET FOOD - REGULAR AND PRESCRIPTION DIET 26-041-ANS on or before June 3, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. Solicitation documents, including specifications, may be obtained by email at henry.kocker@dupagecounty.gov . All Quotes must be received prior to the date and time shown above.


Electronic signatures are allowed, and Quotes do not have to be notarized. The County accepts no responsibility for transmission failures or content omissions. Quotes transmitted in person, by mail or by facsimile ("Fax") will not be accepted.

STATEMENT OF WORK

DuPage County (“County”) Animal Services is seeking bidders, manufacturers only, to furnish and deliver regular (maintenance) diets and prescription (therapeutic) diets for canine and feline populations. Products comparable to those offered by established veterinary diet brands (e.g., Hill’s) are of particular interest.

Awarded bidder shall furnish and deliver a full range of canine and feline dietary products, including but not limited to:

  • Regular/maintenance diets
  • Prescription/therapeutic diets formulated for specific medical conditions

Awarded bidder shall provide truck with liftgate or an acceptable unloading method as there is no loading dock available.

Bidders shall include the following along with its submittal:

  • A complete catalog and current price list of all available canine and feline diet products
  • Percentage discount (-) or mark‑up (+) applied to catalog pricing
  • Documentation or data regarding palatability, including feeding trials, acceptance rates, or other relevant product performance information

The County shall evaluate submissions based on product quality, nutritional suitability, palatability, pricing structure, and bidders’ reliability.

Right to Reject Non‑Equivalent Products

The County reserves the right to reject proposed equivalent product that does not meet clinical, nutritional, or operational requirements.
