Event Description
Northern State University (NSU) is constructing a new building and is seeking a qualified contractor to
provide and install the pre-defined audio visual (AV) system. The building will house the NSU School of
Business and the NSU Nursing programs. The building includes five classrooms, nursing skills lab,
nursing simulation suites, offices, a conference room, study spaces, a large commons area/events space,
and the Northern Innovation and Startup Center. The selected vendor must ensure proper installation,
system integration, testing, and training to guarantee optimal functionality and ease of use. The
substantial completion date for the building is December 9, 2025. Building access prior to that date will
be coordinated with the general contractor through NSU. Systems must be fully functional by January 5,
2026. Spring classes will begin in the building on January 12, 2026.
Offerors may email inquiries concerning this RFP to obtain clarification of requirements. No inquiries will
be accepted after the date and time indicated in the Schedule of Activities. Inquiries must be emailed to
Sean Meyers at sean.meyers@northern.edu with the subject line “RFP #NSU-2501”.
The State will respond to offeror’s inquiries (if required) via e-mail. In addition, all inquiries and the
State’s response will be posted on the state’s e-procurement system. Offerors may not rely on any other
statements, either of a written or oral nature, that alter any specification or other term or condition of this
RFP. Offerors will be notified in the same manner as indicated above regarding any modifications to this
RFP.
