25-02 STH60 and FALLS ROAD Bridge Rehabilitation Project

OWNER:  Notice is hereby given by the Village of Grafton, Wisconsin by the undersigned Village Engineer that it will receive bids for Bridge Rehabilitation work on B-45-71 (Falls Road over the Milwaukee River) and B-45-83 (STH60/Washington Street over the Milwaukee River) as follows:

CONTRACT # 25-02:

Approximately           36 LF              Compression Joint 2-INCH

Approximately           36 LF              Strip Seal Gland Replacement

Approximately           116 LF            Expansion Device

Approximately           50 SY             Joint Repair

Approximately           25 CY             Concrete Masonry Deck Repair

Approximately           3,860 LB        Bar Steel Reinforcement Coated

Approximately           206 SY           Concrete Pavement Replacement

Approximately           30 SF             Concrete Surface Repair

Approximately           145 LF            Epoxy Injection Crack Repair

Approximately           1 EACH         Structure Overcoating Cleaning & Primer

Approximately           1 EACH         Abatement of Asbestos

Approximately           20 LF              Removal and Replacement of Watermain

Debris Containment, Removals, Excavation Common, Base Aggregates, Concrete Curb & Gutter, Concrete Sidewalk, Traffic Control, HMA Pavement, Epoxy Pavement Marking, and other miscellaneous items.

CONTRACT DOCUMENTS:  Specifications and contract documents may be downloaded from the Village of Grafton website for no charge.

TIME:  Sealed bids will be received until 11:00 A.M. on the 30th day of January, 2025 at the Department of Public Works at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

BIDS:  All bids shall be addressed to The Village of Grafton, Village Engineer, 675 North Green Bay Road, Grafton, WI  53024, and shall be enclosed with the name and address of the bidder and the contract for which the bid is being submitted on the outside of the sealed envelope.

COMPLETION DATE:  All work on this contract shall be substantially completed by August 29, 2025 with final completion by September 19, 2025.

QUALIFICATION OF BIDDERS:  Bidders shall file Contractor’s Qualification Statement 7 calendar days prior to bid opening.

BID SECURITY:  A certified check, or satisfactory bid bond payable to the Village of Grafton in the amount of not less than five (5%) percent or more than ten (10%) percent of the bid shall accompany each bid as guarantee that if the bid is accepted the bidder will execute and file the Contract Performance Bond and Insurance Certificate as required by this contract within ten (10) days after Notice of Award of the Contract by the Village.

BID REJECTION:  The Village reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any informalities or irregularities in bidding or accept any bid or bids which, in the opinion of the Village, shall serve the Village's best interest.

BID WITHDRAWAL:  No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the time and date set for the opening thereof, without the consent of the Village.
