Description
The USGS Eastern Ecological Science Center requires hazmat removal services that include waste characterization, packaging, labeling, documentation, technical support, and all necessary licenses, permits, insurance, and waste disposition. PFAS bio waste from the bird pens has been collected and placed in large bags for removal, with Exhibit A (PFAS list) and Exhibit B (photos of the bags) provided in Statement of Work Attachment 2. The site also contains 15 bird pens that require PFAS substrate testing, with a total of 75 samples collected¿five per pen¿using a staggered sampling grid to a depth of 6 inches below ground surface. If sampling results exceed acceptable PFAS limits, the contaminated soil must be excavated and disposed of in accordance with federal and state regulations.

- A site visit will be held on Thursday July 16, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. eastern time CONTRACTORS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND THE SITE VISIT. For site visit information please refer to E-1 Addendum to FAR 52.212-1. - The NAICS Code is 562112. The size standard is $47.0 million. This acquisition will be 100% Small Business Set Aside.
- The anticipated award date of the contract is July 29, 2026. A vendor must be registered at https://www.sam.gov/portal to be eligible for award.
