Description
Purchase of a service contract for 3500 Genetic Analyzer DNA instruments that are used in a Crime Laboratory. The contract shall cover needed repairs and upkeep on the instrument to include parts, labor, associated travel, and planned maintenance visits. A response time of 3 business days is required as well as priority telephone and email access to instrument technical and application support of these instruments. The service contract shall cover a one-year period of time and be renewable after that time in accordance with Iowa purchasing regulations. The service contract must offer original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts for the 3500 Genetic Analyzers and be able to be installed by specialty trained personnel that are competent and able to repair and maintain 3500 Genetic Analyzers. Third party vendor or refurbished parts shall not be accepted. The successful vendor must have access to, and be able to offer the State of Iowa, both OEM parts as well as competent trained repair personnel for the 3500 Genetic Analyzers.
