The Emergency Generator Replacement project was developed to address replacing emergency generators, automatic transfer switches and associated equipment in ten (10) of the District’s wastewater lift stations, which all have reached the end of their service lives.
Phase I of this project will focus on three (3) of the most important lift stations in the District:
LS 59 – located in the District’s Corporation Yard.
LS 29 – located on 909 East Hillsdale Boulevard
LS 22 – located on Shell Boulevard and Catamaran Street.
The project is being designed by the City/District’s design consultant, Freyer & Laureta, Inc., and the scope involves:
1. Removal of existing generator (Lift Station 59, 29, 22), automatic transfer switches (LS 59, 29) and associated equipment; and
2. Installation of new generators (LS 59, 29, 22), automatic transfer switches (LS 59, 29); and
3. Furnishing new conduits, wiring, and other associated equipment; and
4. Connecting new equipment to existing systems; and
5. Purchasing and installing two Manual Transfer Switches at LS 59 and 22.
The project also includes concrete, asphalt and curb removal and replacement, concrete pad demolition and installation, anchor bolt installation for generators and other equipment, transportation of heavy equipment, disposal of existing equipment.
