AHS Filed Sub Bid RFQ 1

The Town of Agawam, through its School Building Committee (SBC), requests that qualified and experienced DCAMM Certified Trade Contractors submit Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) for the Agawam High School Building Project. The Project consists of approximately 205,475 sf of new building, and 6,100 sf of renovation totaling 211,575 sf. A Pre-K building will also be located on site and will consist of 18,928 sf of renovated space and 2,222 sf of new addition totaling 21,150 sf. This RFQ is for a pair of Early Bid Packages (Bid Package #1 and #2) including early enabling sitework, electrical, geothermal well system, foundations, below grade waterproofing, structural steel, and elevators. Separate RFQs will be issued later for Bid Package #3 as well as the balance of the work. Interested Trade Contractors are sought for the following categories of work, at the estimated values indicated:

Prospective Respondents shall not communicate with any person or entity participating on the Prequalification Committee at any time during the RFQ process except through written questions submitted in accordance with the process outlined in the RFQ.

This RFQ is the first phase of a two-phase procurement process as set forth in MGL Chapter 149A. The SBC through its Prequalification Committee will prequalify firms interested in providing public Trade Contractor services on this Public Construction Manager at Risk (“CM at Risk”) Project. The required SOQ is different from DCAMM Certification. All Trade Contractors must be prequalified for this project, even if the firm is DCAMM Certified. Based on the SOQs received, the Prequalification Committee will prequalify respondents it deems to be qualified in accordance with the criteria set forth in the RFQ. Only prequalified firms will be permitted to submit bids for the category of work in which they were prequalified.

The Town of Agawam, acting through its SBC and Prequalification Committee, reserves the right to reject any and all responses in full or in part, to waive minor informalities, and to award the contract in the best interest of the Town of Agawam and Agawam Public Schools.
