Independent Financial Audit Services

The Town of Trophy Club, Texas (the “Town”) is requesting proposals for professional auditing services from qualified certified public accounting firms (“Firm” or “Auditor”) to audit its financial statements for the fiscal years ending September 30, 2026, and September 30, 2027, and optionally the subsequent four years through fiscal year ending September 30, 2031.

The contract term shall include the option to extend the engagement annually or biennially through fiscal year end September 30, 2031 based on the firm’s satisfactory performance and mutual agreement by both parties.  The selected firm will be expected to provide on-going support and assistance relative to new accounting standards and implementation and any other matters that would impact the financial statements.  The firm may also be asked to advise the Town about any other matters relative to municipal finance or related tax law including, but not limited to, tax-exempt and other debt and financing alternatives.

Proposals will be accepted until 2:00 PM on April 9, 2026, via physical delivery of the proposal on a USB Drive to:

Any proposals received after the date and hour set for proposal opening will not be accepted.  The Firm will be notified and will advise Trophy Club as to the disposition by either pick up, return at the Firm’s expense, or destruction with written authorization of the Firm.

Acceptance – Proposals must include a statement that they are valid for a minimum period of 120 days subsequent to the RFP closing date.

Late Proposals will not be considered.  The Firm will be solely responsible for ensuring that the proposal is delivered by the specified deadline.

Non-appropriation – The Town may cancel the contract should the present or any future Town Council not appropriate funds in any fiscal year for the payment of this service.  No penalty shall be applicable in the event of any such non-appropriation.  In the event of non-appropriation, the Town shall give written notice of cancellation and the Town shall not be obligated to make any payments beyond the end of the fiscal year (related to a subsequent fiscal year).

Costs related to the preparation of a response to this RFP shall be the sole responsibility of the firm.
