Overview
Summary

Pierce County Human Services is soliciting applications for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) – Public Facilities Projects to provide funding for eligible projects that benefit low-income communities and/or low-income people, such as water/sewer and/or street improvements, property acquisition, and neighborhood facilities (this is not an all-inclusive list).

This is for program year 2025 (July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026). Priority will be given to agencies requesting two-hundred fifty thousand ($250,000) or more. It is anticipated that no more than four projects will be awarded funding.

Background

The Community Development division of Human Services administers the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The program funds a variety of public facilities and public improvement projects to benefit residents of the Pierce County Consortium, which consists of 19 cities and towns and the unincorporated areas of Pierce County.
