This is a roof replacement for the West Campus Building B, located at 555-C/D West Center Street Extension,
Lexington, NC 27292. In general, the scope of work includes Metal Retrofit Roof over existing steep slope
shingle roof and EPDM membrane low slope roof on an approximate 11,625 square feet of roof area.
Sealed Proposals subject to the conditions made a part hereof will be received until 2:00 PM, on October 22,
2025 for furnishing services described herein. In the event the County is closed due to inclement weather, this
opening will take place on the next business day.
Note: The County recommends using an over-night service or hand delivering the RFP response.
Note: The black-out date for questions shall be October 17, 2025, at noon.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Indicate firm name, which is County of Davidson. The RFP number, which is above, on
the front of each sealed proposal envelope or package, along with the date for receipt of proposals specified above.
PRE-BID CONFERENCE:
For all prospective offerors is scheduled for 9:00 AM on October 15, 2025, at West Campus Building
B, 555 C/D West Center Street Extension, Lexington, NC 27292. Attendance at this conference is a
prerequisite for consideration of an offeror's proposal. Copies of the bid package will be available at the
pre-bid conference. Prospective offerors are encouraged to submit written questions in advance. In the
event the County is closed due to inclement weather, this meeting will take place on the next business day.
It is the offeror's responsibility to assure that all addenda have been reviewed.
In lieu thereof, each bid may be accompanied by a deposit of cash or a certified check drawn
on a bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) in an amount
equal to not less than 5% of the gross amount of the bid.
Bid Bond shall be signed by the Bidder and notarized.
If the successful Bidder fails to execute the contract within 10 days after award, the above
deposit will be retained by the Owner on the bid bond executed on liquidated damages.
