LEGAL NOTICE

The Board of Clermont County Commissioners is soliciting and will be accepting Competitive Sealed Proposals from qualified organizations to provide management services for the Clermont County Kennel (the “Dog Kennel”) located at 4025 Filager Road, Batavia, Ohio 45103.   The Board wishes to engage an organization to provide day-to-day management services of the Dog Kennel using a resident management team under the policy direction of the Board of Clermont County Commissioners. Management services include, but are not limited to, daily operations for housing, feeding, caring for, adopting, fostering, destroying and disposing of registered and unregistered dogs brought to the Dog Kennel by the County Dog Warden or deputies, maintaining customer service standards, policy recommendations, budgeting, accounting, purchasing, safety, employee selection/training/discipline, equipment and facilities utilization, ensuring vehicles are maintained, marketing, public relations, volunteer coordination, developing and maintaining foster and rescue networks, administration of contracts, and such other management functions as needed in the operation of the Dog Kennel.

All Proposals must be received in the office of the Board of Clermont County Commissioners, 3 rd Floor, 101 E. Main St., Batavia, Ohio 45103, no later than 2:00 P.M. local time on January 9, 2025, at which time all Proposals shall be publicly opened and acknowledged accordingly.

Instructions to organizations, specifications, and the Proposal form outlining the terms and conditions of the proposed services may be obtained by interested parties from Angie Livesay at the Board of Clermont County Commissioners, 101 East Main Street, 3 rd floor, Batavia, Ohio 45103, Phone: (513) 732-7300 or by email at anlivesay@clermontcountyohio.gov .  Office hours are from 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., Monday thru Friday.

NOTE: ALL PROSPECTIVE PROPOSERS ARE HEREBY CAUTIONED NOT TO CONTACT ANY MEMBER OF THE CLERMONT COUNTY STAFF OR OFFICIALS OTHER THAN THE SPECIFIED CONTACT PERSON.

Each Proposer MUST submit their Proposal in the following format, one (1) original paper copy, along with one (1) searchable copy in .pdf format on a USB. All copies must be in a separate sealed envelope marked: Dog Kennel Management.

The Board of Clermont County Commissioners reserves the right to waive any informalities, reject any or all Proposals, and to hold such Proposals for a period of sixty (60) days before taking any action and to award a contract to the Proposal deemed most advantageous to the county per the specifications set forth in ORC 307.862. No proposer may withdraw their Proposal for a period of sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
