i5 design group, inc. is accepting proposals on behalf of The City of Paducah, Public Works Department for the Mayor's Office Alteration on April 02, 2026, at 2 p.m. CST. All Bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Commission Chambers, Second Floor, City Hall, 300 South 5th Street, Paducah, Kentucky.

A MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING will be held at the Paducah City Hall building located at 300 South 5th Street on March 23, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. CST.

Two site visits are scheduled and as follows

Site Visit #1 – 3/12/2026 – 2:00 p.m.

Site Visit #2 – 3/19/2026 – 10:30 a.m.

Site visits must be completed at one of the above dates and times. They are not mandatory, but it is recommended to attend at least one. Non-scheduled site visits will not be allowed.

This Project will consist of demolition and removal of two doors, existing coffee bar, existing closet, and existing entry door, creating closet in new location, infill of two doors, new bulletproof aluminum entry  system with wood door, minimal electrical updates, new ceiling tile in full accordance with the Specifications.

ADDENDUM #1 -Paducah City Hall – Mayor’s Office Alterations
Responses for RFI’s
1. Are all walls to be taken to deck?
a. Yes, however the walls around the Mayor’s office run to deck currently. Please see
attached SI-1.0 to clarify which walls to take to deck.
2. What are preferred work hours?
a. Preferred work hours are during business hours (8:00am-4:30pm CST). However, it is
requested to provide an alternate to the bid to perform work outside of business hours.
b. This Alternate would be Alternate #3.
3. Are there specific requirements on buzzer and access control system?
a. The city has decided to approach the buzzer and access control system after completion
of the project. Please provide infrastructure for electric strike and low voltage to this
location, Owner will provide and install access control system.
4. Will a bid form be provided?
a. Bid form was part of initial specifications, however, additional space for alternates has
been provided on bid form. Please see attached updated bid form.
5. There are missing pages from front end specifications, please provide?
a. It appears that original numbering of front end specifications were off, there are not any
pages missing.
6. Is there an estimate for bonding purposes?
a. There is not an estimate to be provided. Bonding should be done off of your bid value.
7. Please provide dust control measures for work to ensure that construction dust is not
escaping to other suites or common space.
8. To capture some sort of value for potential of making the bulletproof glass wider in the case
that the wood panels are not salvageable after removal, please provide a $15,000
allowance for additional 2 panels that will be required.
9. Acknowledgment of receipt of Addendum #1 required in bid.
10. Current bid dates remain unchanged and are as follows:
a. BID DATE: April 2nd at 2:00 pm, location remains the same.
b. RFI DEADLINE: Was March 25th, 2026. RFIs will no longer be accepted

In compliance with your Invitation for Bid, Bidder hereby proposes to furnish all the necessary
labor, materials, equipment, tools and services necessary for the construction of the Mayor’s Office
Alterations in accordance with the plans, specifications and other contract documents prepared by the
Architect and City Public Works Department, at the prices stated below.
By submission of this Bid, each Bidder certifies that this Bid has been arrived at independently,
without consultation, communication or agreement as to any matter relating to this Bid with any other
Bidder or with any other competitor.
The Bidder further understands the quantities shown herein are estimates only and the Owner
reserves the unlimited right to add to or delete from same at its discretion. In case of a discrepancy in
the extension of a bid price, the unit price shall govern over the total price for all items.
Security in the sum of $
, in the form of a Bid Bond or cashier’s
check, said amount being equal to Five Percent (5%) of the Total Bid Amount, is submitted herewith in
accordance with the Specifications. This Security is furnished to the Owner as a guarantee that the
agreement will be executed and all bonds required shall be furnished within ten (10) days after award of
the Contract to the undersigned. Additionally, the Bidder has submitted with this Bid Proposal the
required signed and notarized Certifications as required by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Failure of the Bidder to comply with these provisions will make the Bid Non-Responsive and shall
result in disqualification of the submitted Bid Proposal.
If Notice of Award is given to the Bidder within Sixty (60) days after the time of receipt of Bids, the
Bidder agrees to execute and deliver a Contract Agreement in the prescribed form and furnish the
required bonds and insurance within ten (10) days after the Contract is presented for signature.
Bidder will submit along with proposal, a full construction schedule. Bidder hereby agrees to
commence work under this contract on or before a date to be specified in the Notice to Proceed and to
fully complete the project within the time frame of the submitted schedule thereafter.
In submitting this Bid, it is understood that the right is reserved by the Owner to reject any and all
Bids in accordance with the City of Paducah’s Code of Ordinances and the Specifications. Additionally,
any Award may be made to the Bidder with the most value for all items, groups of items, or on an
individual item basis, whichever is deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
