Description

At this time, the Government is requesting International Committee for Information Technology Standards (INCITS) membership and Executive memberships be provided within one year to 6910 Cooper Avenue Fort Meade Maryland 20755.



INCITS is a stand-alone entity with a unique subject matter and is the primary U.S. focus of standardization in the field of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT), encompassing storage, processing, transfer, display, management, organization, and retrieval of information. Department of Defense (DoD) participates in the following INCITS working groups: Cyber Security, Distributed Application Platforms & Services, and Computer Graphics & Image Processing. These are directly related to the information assurance and security, and mediation for maintaining the operational cyberspace integrity of the DODIN services and is essential for DoD transformation to a Joint Information Environment.
