ROOF REPLACEMENT AT THE CAROLINE COUNTY DETENTION CENTER

The County Commissioners of Caroline County are accepting bids (written quotes) for the Roof
Replacement at the Caroline County Detention Center (AKA Andrew Building).
The scope of this contract includes, but is not limited to:
Removal and replacement of all slate roofs
Removal and replacement of all flat roofs
Electronic copies of the RFP, drawings, plans, and bid forms may be obtained by email request to
npearce@carolinemd.org or by accessing the County website at the following link:
https://www.carolinemd.org/bids.aspx. Printed copies of the RFP, drawings, and bid forms may be obtained
from the Caroline County Department of Finance at 109 Market Street, Denton, Maryland 21629. Refer to
RFP# CCDC2027-01.
A MANDATORY pre-bid meeting will be held on 10/12/2026 at 10:00 am at the County Courthouse located at
109 Market Street , MD 21629. Bidders are required to attend. Questions regarding this RFP should be
directed to John Christopher, Caroline County Dept of Corrections by email at jchristopher@carolinemd.org
by noon on 10/20/2026.
IF YOU PLAN ON SUBMITTING A RESPONSE FOR THIS ROOF YOU WILL NEED TO SUBMIT A COPY
OF YOUR LICENSE TO JCHRISTOPHER@CAROLINEMD.ORG FOR A NCIC BACKGROUND CHECK
ATLEAST 1 WEEK BEFORE THE PRE-BID MEETING. THIS WILL ALLOW OR PREVENT YOU FROM
ENTERING THE BUILDING THE DAY OF PRE-BID. THIS IS 100% NON-NEGOTIABLE & YOUR ONLY
OPPORTUNITY TO LOOK AT THE ROOF PRIOR TO BID OPENING.
Bids must be received in the office of the Caroline County Commissioners, located at 109 Market Street,
Denton, Maryland 21629, ATTENTION: Nicole Pearce, by no later than 9:00 am, 11/2/2026, where they will
be publicly opened and read aloud. The County Commissioners reserve the right to reject any/or all bids.
