1. Will any mechanical drawings be provided for this project?
Drawings for Operation Rooms 9 and 10 are not available.
Please see PDF Mechanical Drawings for Building 500 5th floor North Wing in attachment portion of Solicitation.
2. Can we get a copy of the mechanical drawings? Mechanical Drawings are provided in attachment portion of Solicitation.
3. It states: Follow all requirements for VHA-ICRA-2023-1.0B Highest Risk Level IV or greater.
- Will containment need to be built and removed daily? No, however the contractor shall 1st install filters on supply ducts then cover all OR equipment prior to work and ensure all doors are closed in work areas.
- Will we need to install a pressure sensing device? No
a. magnehelic, manometers or digital monitoring? No
b. Will we need to monitor and document negative pressurization? No
4. C.5 Contractor Representative- Is it mandatory for the GC to have a Superintendent present onsite while work is being performed? Certified, National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) personal shall be onsite for the period of performance.
5. How many sq ft is the project? Refer to plans provided in attachment portion of Solicitation.
6. What is the ceiling height? 9ft
7. What type of ceiling is it? Hard lid, Drywall
8. Are there any accessibility problems? No
9. How many VAV boxes are there? Refer to plans provided in the attachment portion of Solicitation
10. Is this a prevailing wage project or Davis Bacon? Prevailing Wage
Please refer to D.1 Wage Determination section on RFQ. This falls under Service Contract Act (SCA) Wage Determination that can be found on SAM.gov.
11. Are we cleaning the air handlers also? Yes AHU 1,2, and 3
